Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. Duties
- Diagnosing faults using schematics and mechanical knowledge to identify issues accurately
- Repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicle types using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Assembling and disassembling components during repairs or upgrades
- Performing welding tasks where necessary to repair or modify vehicle parts
- Heavy lifting of parts and equipment safely as required during repairs or maintenance tasks
- Using equipment repair techniques to restore vehicles to operational condition
- Maintaining detailed records of repairs, parts used, and service history for each vehicle
- Providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle systems and components
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively and safely
- Experience in assembly, disassembly, and repair of mechanical parts
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various types of vehicles or machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Good communication skills to liaise with customers and team members effectively
