TDW Distribution Ltd is a growing transport and logistics company providing reliable distribution services across the UK. We are looking for a professional and safety-conscious Days Shunter Driver to join our busy operation.
The Role
As a Shunter Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers and vehicles around ours and customers yards, ensuring the smooth flow of operations between warehouse and transport teams, across TDW and customer sites.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- Day shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Shunting trailers between customer sites, loading bays and designated parking areas.
- Conducting vehicle and trailer safety checks.
- Ensuring trailers are positioned correctly for loading and unloading.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any defects.
- Liaising with warehouse and transport teams to support daily operations.
- Following all company health & safety procedures and site rules.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence preferred.
- Current CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous shunting or yard experience desirable.
- Good understanding of transport and site safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
