Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our pellet manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be mechanically minded, practical, and experienced in maintaining industrial equipment. This role involves carrying out routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and specifically changing and setting pellet mill dies to ensure efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pellet production machinery
- Change, adjust, and maintain pellet mill dies and related equipment
- Diagnose and fix mechanical faults to minimise downtime
- Carry out preventative maintenance schedules
- Assist with installation and setup of new machinery when required
- Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Work closely with production staff to ensure smooth operations
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical, hands-on skills
- Experience working with industrial machinery (pellet mills preferred but not essential)
- Pipework experience desirable
- Ability to change dies and perform basic mechanical adjustments
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices
- Welding, fabrication, or electrical knowledge is an advantagePersonal Attributes

Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
