Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable Part 1/Part 2 and HGV drivers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for drivers with a background in commercial driving, particularly those familiar with flatbed operations, to utilise their skills in a professional environment. Candidates must hold valid HGV licences and have previous experience in delivery driving.
Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule, adhering to routes and timeframes.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with legal requirements.
- Secure cargo properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
- Follow all health and safety regulations during driving and loading/unloading procedures.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
Requirements
- Valid HGV licence (Category C+E) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, ideally with flatbed or similar specialised vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK.
- Experience in commercial driving, including handling large vehicles and securing loads securely.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritise deliveries.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail for documentation purposes.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when required.
Candidates with prior experience in flatbed operations or similar roles will be preferred. A professional attitude, commitment to safety, and excellent driving skills are essential for success in this position.
Pay: £130.00-£200.00 per day
