Hours: Full Time, Mon-Fri, 8:30 – 15:30
About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentors to join our team in Bristol. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting students with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and special educational needs (SEN). As a Behaviour Mentor you will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of lessons, managing student behaviour, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the teacher in delivering lessons to students.
- Supporting and managing student behaviour, implementing behaviour plans as needed.
- Acting as a mentor, providing pastoral care and emotional support to students.
- Helping with day-to-day school operations, ensuring a smooth and supportive learning environment.
- Working closely with the teaching team to monitor and assess student progress.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) or Alternative Provision Academy (APA).
- Experience as a PBS practitioner or working with challenging behaviour.
- Strong ability to support students with a range of special educational needs.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, understanding approach to working with students.
- No specific qualifications required, but experience in a similar role is essential.
