Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and drinks in accordance with health and safety standards
- Handle customer enquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring quality standards are maintained
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
- Support baristas with drink preparation when necessary, ensuring adherence to food safety regulations
- Ensure all service areas comply with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
- Experience as a barista or in food preparation can be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as required
