Pier One is a lively, fast paced, waterfront Cafe/ Bar/ wedding venue with stunning views of Plymouth sound.
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering exceptional guest services in a busy waterfront hospitality environment, ensuring every visitor has a memorable experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests, taking orders, and maintaining a clean and organised service area. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right applicant. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in customer service, food safety, and food preparation within a vibrant team atmosphere.
Due to our varied age range in our team, we are particularly looking for staff of ages 18 upwards. Barista experience would be fantasic however training will be given.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure they feel welcomed throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages efficiently
- Provide excellent guest service by addressing enquiries and resolving any issues promptly
- Support with coffee and drink preparation tasks as required, including setting up stations and restocking supplies
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Manage transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including handling cash and card payments
- Maintain a tidy and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods
- Demonstrate effective time management to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously

Pay: £12.21-£16.96 per hour
