We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a growing specialist Sub-Contractor specialising, predominantly, in internal firewall partitions using composite mineral wool panels.
This is an opportunity to work on varied projects throughout the UK, delivering vital building safety aspects across new build commercial and industrial units. You will take responsibility for managing and overseeing the installation of LPS approved, fire rated composite panel partitions, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to programme and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
As Site Installation Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, coordinating sub-contractor labour squads, maintaining programme, and ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with current building regulations and fire safety requirements.
Many projects will be carried out for long term, repeat clients, thus making communication, planning, delivery and customer care key aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all site activities from mobilisation through to completion.
- Oversee the installation of new LPC approved firewall systems.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with design specifications, Building Regulations and fire safety requirements.
- Manage sub-contractor labour squads and suppliers.
- Monitor programme and report progress to the Construction Director.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and environmental compliance.
- Carry out regular site inspections, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Manage site documentation, permits, inspections and handover processes.
About You
You will have previous experience managing the installation of similar construction projects, or external envelope projects and possess strong leadership and organisational skills.
You should be confident managing multiple site based personnel, maintaining excellent health & safety standards and delivering projects within programme and budget.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on cladding projects.
- Good understanding of cladding systems and firewall construction.
- Experience working on construction and building sites.
- Strong knowledge of current health & safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and site programmes effectively.
