What You’ll Be Doing
We are seeking professional, reliable, and safety-focused Casual Academy Drivers to support the operational delivery of our Academy programme.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring Academy players, staff, trialists, and guests are transported safely and efficiently to training sessions, fixtures, educational commitments, medical appointments, tournaments, and other Club activities.
You will represent Leeds United Academy while delivering a high-quality transport service, maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding, welfare, professionalism, and customer care.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport Academy players, staff, trialists, and authorised passengers to and from Club activities.
Provide transport for players attending school release and education programmes.
Support Academy Recruitment activities through the collection and transportation of trialists and visitors.
Undertake local and long-distance travel throughout the UK when required.
Conduct pre-use vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
Maintain vehicles in a safe, clean, and roadworthy condition.
Ensure all passengers comply with seatbelt, safeguarding, and Club transport procedures.
Maintain accurate transport logs, mileage records, and vehicle documentation.
Communicate effectively with Academy Operations staff regarding schedules, delays, or changes.
Build positive relationships with players, parents, schools, and external organisations.
Present a professional image of Leeds United Academy at all times.
Maintain confidentiality regarding Academy players, staff, and Club matters.
Support Academy events and additional operational requirements when required.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll have:
Full UK Driving Licence with D1 entitlement (or equivalent entitlement permitting minibus driving).
Excellent driving record.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional, reliable, and punctual approach.
Flexible attitude towards evenings, weekends, and bank holiday working.
Strong understanding of confidentiality and professionalism.
Commitment to safeguarding children and young people.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
Experience transporting passengers safely.
Experience working in customer-facing roles.
Experience following procedures and maintaining accurate records.
Experience working responsibly with confidential information.
Experience working independently and managing your own workload.
Desirable
Experience working within professional football or elite sport.
MIDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) qualification.
First Aid qualification.
Knowledge of EPPP Academy operations.
Experience working with children and young people.
