VACANCY – HR & Payroll Administrator
Saxon Air is looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous individual ideally with payroll experience to provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR, payroll and wellbeing function. As an integral part of the HR and Wellbeing team at Saxon Air, you will help to streamline processes, collate payroll, pay and benefits data, file and maintain HR records, e-files and statistical data in a structured and comprehensive way, as well as providing general support to the team. This role sits within a small team that supports management of our people, maintenance of various records, policies, procedures, career development pathways, staff benefits and wellbeing programmes.
This position is offered on a permanent contract, 40hrs a week. The best candidate will possess payroll administration experience, with excellent attention to detail, methodical and process driven with a people focussed approach, and the ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks productively.

THE ROLE & CANDIDATE
Saxon Air is looking for a HR & Payroll Administrator to join its busy HR and Wellbeing Team on a permanent 40hrs contract. The best candidate will possess payroll administration experience, or be working towards a Business Administration, HR or Payroll qualification, have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, enthusiastic about numbers and processes and an innovative people focussed approach to work including the wellbeing of staff. A must is to be a team player with the ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at one time.
Specifics of the job involve:
- Collation of payroll information for monthly processing including liaison with our payroll providers
- Provide administrative support for HR and Wellbeing team, to include organisation of confidential e-files and mailboxes, folders and template documents
- Supporting in maintaining accurate HR records, spreadsheets, SharePoint folders, etc., as directed by the HR team
- Preparation of draft documents, as required by the HR team
- Manage digital filing systems to ensure accurate and accessible record-keeping
- Liaise with partners, stakeholders and internal teams as required
- Keeping our SharePoint area on the Company landing site in good order, ensuring information for our staff is up to date and adequate in the provision of information of our staff benefits and HR programme
- Supporting event coordination, as and when requested
- Coordinating and controlling our staff welcome kits that includes branded merchandise
- General administrative tasks, as assigned by the HR Director.
The best candidate will have:
- Payroll and record keeping experience / working towards these qualifications within an apprenticeship OR willingness to undertake training for these
- Strong attention to detail, methodical and process driven
- Confident in using Microsoft systems and general administrative computer work
- The ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks based on the organisation and departmental needs at any time
- Adaptable and able to work on various tasks and projects during the same period
- Organisational skills, with the ability to create and follow processes and procedures essential to the HR function
- Innovative and lateral thinking skills, bringing their own ideas and suggestions to the team
- Passionate about working with numerical data and strict processes

Essential Requirements
- Able to commute to Norwich, NR6 6JT
- Computer and tech competent including use of Microsoft suite
- Payroll experience / working towards these qualifications within an apprenticeship OR willingness to undertake training for these
- Experience of calculating pay/payroll processing, or similar
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Ability to use digital tools and systems, including willingness to utilise AI tools where appropriate
- Proven experience in maintaining confidentiality
- Experience tracking data and reporting statistics
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Confident in managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Fundamentals
This is a permanent 40-hour a week contract, based in Norwich at the Klyne Business Aviation Centre.
Our current pay is aligned with the Real Living Wage.
You must have an existing and ongoing right to work in the UK under current Immigration rules to be considered for this role.
