Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator & Setter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-quality parts and components. Your expertise will ensure precision and efficiency in our production processes, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations. Duties
- Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on technical drawings and specifications
- Operate CNC equipment to produce parts with precision, adhering to quality standards and production schedules
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices to ensure accuracy
- Adjust machine settings as needed for optimal performance and troubleshoot issues during operation
- Maintain detailed documentation of machine settings, production data, and quality checks
- Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure safe and efficient operation
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Understanding of safety procedures related to machining,, and the use of power tools
Desirable
- Experience with cabinet doors, kitchens, wardrobes or bespoke furniture.
- Knowledge of CNC operations/nestings.
- Counterbalance forklift licence (not essential)
