Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
- Support the organisation of storage areas, ensuring ingredients and supplies are properly stored and labelled
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and general kitchen areas throughout shifts
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring all kitchen tools and equipment are ready for use
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or serving roles within a culinary setting is advantageous
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or hotel will be beneficial
- A positive attitude towards teamwork and willingness to learn new skills is essential
