Let’s Talk about the Role
The Wind Turbine Technician will perform essential preventative maintenance and service activities to ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our wind farm assets.
You will act as a key member of our site-based team, taking direct responsibility for the upkeep of wind turbine systems. Your work will involve technical troubleshooting, meticulous documentation of maintenance activities, and close collaboration with site teams and contractors to ensure our operations meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Maintaining wind turbine performance through the execution of detailed preventative maintenance schedules.
- Performing safe, high-quality technical inspections and servicing while working at height.
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all maintenance checklists, materials used, and hours logged.
- Coordinating effectively with internal teams and external service providers to streamline site operations.
- Collaborating with your team to troubleshoot technical issues and improve system reliability.
Special Role Requirements
- Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.
- Willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
- Ability to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.

- The ability to interpret and follow complex technical documentation and instructions.

- An understanding of safe systems of work within an industrial, commercial, or heavy industry setting.
- An expertise in technical problem-solving and structured, analytical task management.
- A keen interest in continuous personal development and professional growth.
Professional training in a mechanical or electrical engineering sector (such as an SVQ/NVQ Level 3) is nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position based on-site across our three wind farms in South Lanarkshire, Scotland - Whitelee, Black Law and Clachan Flats.
