We are seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling groupage cargo, and operating forklifts safely to support the seamless flow of goods.
It is essential the candidate has experience in loading and unloading Curtain sider trailers from the side and containers from the rear and a knowledge of handling all types of cargo, Pallets / crates / cases / HAZ chemicals and maximising space on vehicles and in Warehouse.
If no Groupage experience please don't apply. Must have valid 2.5 ton counterbalance forklift
Duties
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and cargo within the warehouse
- Assist with booking in goods. Checking, photographing and tracking all consignments
- Keeping site clean and tidy when breaks in work
Skills
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in groupage handling loading and unloading
- Valid forklift certification and mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance or repairs
- Ability to load and unload goods efficiently while following safety procedures
- Strong basic math skills for inventory counting and documentation accuracy
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely delivery and dispatch would be idea

Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
