JOB ROLE: Support Worker
LOCATION: Summerhill Avenue, Newport (NP19)
SALARY: £13.45 - £14.15* per hour
HOURS: 35 hours per week
REQUIREMENTS: Full UK Manual Driving License - essential
Please note, we require a Male Support Worker due to a genuine need for the people we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

At Summerhill Avenue, our supportive teams help to deliver outstanding care and support to the people we support. We offer sector leading training and coaching to help their staff level up and further there career by learning new key skills, gaining a variety of excellent qualifications which can led to a vast number of progression opportunities within the social care sector.
Many of our Regional and Service Managers joined us as Support Workers and through ongoing training and coaching they are continuing to move further up the accomplish ladder!
As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

Support residents in maintaining and developing independence through daily activities and encouraging personal growth.

Promote engagement in hobbies, interests, and life skills development, such as budgeting, shopping, and paying bills.

Assist with healthcare needs, including accompanying residents to medical appointments and supporting with medication administration.

Provide assistance with personal care (depending on individual needs), including help with daily tasks like bathing and dressing.

Support with domestic duties, including cleaning and preparing meals to create a comfortable, homely atmosphere.
