Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and well-organised Hotel Receptionist to join the front desk team at one of our client hotels. As the first point of contact for guests, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. The ideal candidate is personable, efficient, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally.
- Handle check-ins and check-outs using the hotel’s booking system.
- Manage room reservations via phone, email, and in person.
- Provide accurate information on hotel services, rates, amenities, and local attractions.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Resolve guest complaints or issues promptly.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for room readiness.
- Process payments and manage billing.
- Maintain accurate records and handle confidential information securely.
- Keep the front desk area clean and presentable.
Requirements
- GCSEs or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus.
- Previous experience as a hotel receptionist preferred.
- Hands-on experience in hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, Muse, PMS, ONQ, Emma) is a bonus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Working Conditions
- Shifts typically 7:00–15:30 or 14:30–23:00.
- Standing for extended periods required.
- Uniform or dress code must be followed.
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
