Overview
The Duty Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel, providing exceptional guest services while leading and supervising the team. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage daily operations, resolve guest issues, and maintain high standards of hospitality. The Duty Manager will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment and ensuring that all guests have an enjoyable experience during their stay. This is a hands on role, based in hotel Bistro mainly, but you may be called to other Departments. A mature, calm approach is needed.
Duties
- Oversee daily Bistro operations whilst working alongside your team. Hands on!
- Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and training as needed to enhance performance.
- Address guest inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage staff schedules and assist with human resources tasks as required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the hotel premises.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, incidents, and guest feedback for continuous improvement.
Skills
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Bistro & Restaurant experience essential.
- Strong background in guest services within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent supervisory skills to manage staff effectively.
- Knowledge of human resources practices relevant to the hospitality sector.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests and staff professionally.
- A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- A sound knowledge of Social Media Marketing would be an advantage.
