Summary
Following a review of SEND provision, we are seeking a committed and skilled Specialist SEND HLTA to support pupils with cognition and learning needs, mainly in Key Stage 2.
This is an exciting opportunity to help establish a new provision, including a calm learning space and a dedicated, adapted curriculum focused on English, Maths and PSHE. Pupils accessing this provision may be working below age-related expectations and require tailored support linked to EHCPs or specialist advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver small group support in a calm, structured environment each morning
- Adapt English and Maths learning to meet individual needs
- Support delivery of a personalised PSHE curriculum
- Work closely with class teachers to ensure continuity of learning
- Support pupils to successfully reintegrate into class in the afternoons
This provision is distinct from our SEMH Nurture provision, with a clear focus on learning needs. We will work alongside external specialists to ensure high-quality implementation.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.

Essential Qualifications

- Has a strong understanding of curriculum adaptation in English and Maths
- Is calm, patient and committed to inclusive practice
