As well as experienced Trustees, the firm is open to candidate from relevant backgrounds, such as general accounting practice or legal cashiering, who have who have an interest in moving into this space.

What to expect from the day-to-day:
- Oversee the organisation’s financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage accounts payable processes and support financial accounting functions using various accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements for review by senior management and external auditors.
- Support the organisation’s financial management strategies by analysing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior staff or volunteers involved in financial tasks.
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions and maintain organised records for audit purposes.
- Contribute to organisational governance by participating in meetings and decision-making processes related to financial oversight.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial services or related fields, with a strong understanding of financial management principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential.
- Knowledge of financial accounting practices, accounts payable procedures, and general ledger management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in mentoring or training team members is advantageous.
