FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
To be responsible for preparing two holiday let apartments for guest arrivals.
The Apartments:
- Situated just off Bathwick Street (near the Ambulance/Fire Station) and just off Upper Bristol Road, at Norfolk Crescent.
- Both apartments have two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen area.
- One apartment is on the ground floor, the other is on the first floor.
- Both are in modern buildings.
- There is free car parking at each apartment.
Both apartments have Visit England 4 Star Gold ratings and a very high standard of cleanliness and presentation is required.
The Tasks:
- To clean the apartments throughout after guest departures, including checking, and cleaning when required, the insides of all cupboards, fridge, oven.
- Checking, and cleaning when required, all glassware, china, cutlery and cookware.
- Cleaning bathrooms, dusting throughout, cleaning hard floors and vacuuming carpets.
- Changing beds.
- Bagging up and keeping a record of dirty linen ready to be sent to the laundry.
- Checking clean linen when it is returned by the laundry.
- Noting and reporting any damage, defects, losses from the apartments.
- Ensuring the apartments are presented to a high standard for the arrival of guests.
NB all the beds are ‘zip and link’ singles/doubles and are used as either separate singles or King/superking doubles, as required by the guests.
Hours:
Vary depending on bookings but average around 42 hours per month. Each changeover takes around 3 hours. Guest check-out is at 11 am, check-in at 4 pm. There are no fixed changeover days, so flexibility is essential. Working on weekends and Bank Holidays is sometimes required.
Pay:
£17-£20 per hour. Please note this is a self-employed position. Although vacuums are available at the properties, applicants are asked to provide their own equipment. Payment will be made on presentation of an invoice, either fortnightly or monthly as agreed.
Please note:
The work can be shared between two people working together. Reliability is extremely important.
