Self Employed Pub Partnership - The Buck, Newtown, Powys
Looking for a self-employed pub business opportunity in Newtown, Powys? The Buck is a traditional community pub in the heart of Mid Wales, with an established drinks trade, loyal local customers and real potential to grow.
Set on a busy main road in the centre of Newtown, Powys’ largest town, The Buck benefits from great visibility, passing trade and a warm, local feel. With shops, local markets, walking routes, the River Severn and Mid Wales visitors close by, this is a pub with strong community appeal.
Currently trading at approximately £3,000 per week through a 100% wet-led offer, The Buck already attracts regulars, darts players and customers looking for a friendly place to meet. Inside, there’s a characterful one-room trading space with original features and cosy seating; outside seating adds extra town-centre appeal.
The big opportunity is growth. An existing kitchen gives you the chance to introduce a simple food offer, while live music, quizzes, darts nights, sport, themed events and a stronger Sunday proposition could help bring in more local residents, shoppers, workers, families and visitors.
We’re looking for a hands-on, community-minded Pub Partner who loves great hospitality, enjoys building local relationships and wants to create a welcoming pub people return to week after week. You may already run a pub or hospitality business, or be ready to take the next step with support behind you – this would be a great opportunity for a first time pub operator with a passion for the Powys!
- 20% share of weekly wet sales, excluding VAT.
- Keep 100% of the food sales.
- Low ingoing costs, starting with just a £5,000 deposit and £360 legal cost. (*deposits can vary dependant on business – ask us for more details*)
- Accommodation included with most bills covered, except the council tax & TV License.
