We are looking for an experienced Automotive Paint & Refinishing Specialist to join our growing team at Smart Vehicle Repair.
You will be responsible for preparing and painting vehicles to a high standard, including cosmetic repairs, panel painting, colour matching and blending.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and can consistently produce a high-quality finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles and panels for painting
- Carry out SMART and cosmetic repairs
- Paint individual panels and larger areas
- Colour match and blend accurately
- Mix and apply automotive paint, primer and clear coat
- Carry out high-quality preparation, including sanding and masking
- Identify and correct paint defects
- Ensure all repairs meet a high standard of finish
- Keep the spray booth and work areas clean and organised
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Complete work efficiently and within agreed timescales
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as an Automotive Paint Technician, Vehicle Painter or Paint Specialist
- Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems
- Excellent colour matching and blending skills
- High attention to detail
- Good preparation and paint application skills
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable and professional approach
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality
- Good understanding of workshop health and safety
