We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Setting Out Engineer to join our dynamic construction team in. Duties
- Establish and verify setting out points based on detailed drawings and specifications to guide construction activities
- Use advanced surveying tools such as total stations, laser levels, and GPS equipment to ensure measurement accuracy
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to align site activities with design plans
- Conduct regular checks on existing reference points and adjust measurements as needed to maintain precision throughout the project lifecycle
- Support electrical teams by understanding electrical layouts and ensuring their installation aligns with technical drawings
- Record all measurement data meticulously and prepare detailed reports for project documentation
- Assist in resolving on-site measurement discrepancies promptly to prevent delays or errors in construction
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer or similar role within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and surveying techniques
- Electrical experience is highly desirable to facilitate coordination with electrical installations and systems
- Proficiency with surveying instruments such as total stations, laser levels, GPS devices, and related software
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on measurement accuracy and quality control
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Valid certification or qualification in surveying, civil engineering, or related fields is preferred
