Responsibilities
- Ensure all kitchen areas, including workstations, utensils, and equipment, are kept impeccably clean and organized at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Support the cooking process by handling tasks such as washing ingredients, peeling, chopping, and portioning supplies
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials, notifying management when replenishments are needed
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed according to health standards
- Support serving staff by clearing tables and assisting with setting up dining areas when required
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards across the kitchen environment
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or hotel setting is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and hygiene practices
- Previous hospitality experience demonstrating excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and moving equipment safely
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
