We are currently looking for a diligent and reliable Production Operative to join our dedicated manufacturing team.
The Role
As a Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing and packaging of our cleaning solutions. You will be involved in the end-to-end production process, from safely mixing raw materials to operating filling and labeling machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Batch Mixing: Accurately measure, weigh, and blend chemical ingredients according to precise formulations and standard operating procedures.
- Machine Operation: Operate and monitor automated and semi-automated filling, capping, and labeling equipment.
- Quality Control: Perform basic visual and physical quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Health & Safety: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
- Manual Handling: Safely load empty containers onto the production line and move packaged goods to the dispatch area.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, effectively managing spills and waste disposal.
What We Are Looking For
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment (experience with liquid processing, chemicals, or FMCG is highly desirable).
- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety, ideally with working knowledge of COSHH.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow strict recipes and operating instructions.
- A good level of physical fitness, as the role requires standing for long periods and some manual handling (e.g., lifting up to 25 Kg).
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
