Harvest Renewables Cornwall is looking for an enthusiastic Solar & Renewable Energy Consultant to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in solar PV, renewable energy or technical sales who enjoys working with customers and finding the right solution for their homes and businesses.
Previous experience working with renewable technology, particularly in Solar PV is preferred, full training in other technologies is available for the right candidate.
We’re open to applications from ambitious individuals looking to develop their career, as well as experienced consultants who can bring additional expertise to the business.
The Role
You’ll work with customers from their initial enquiry through to installation, helping provide renewable energy solutions while ensuring an excellent customer experience. Working as a member of a team and with customers, you will need patience to understand and explain renewable technology solutions to a wide variety of people. You will be based in our office in Newquay but may also need to visit clients homes and attend trade and marketing events.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Advising customers on solar PV and renewable energy solutions
* Designing domestic and commercial solar PV systems
* Managing customer enquiries and maintaining an active sales pipeline
* Preparing quotations and technical proposals
* Liaising with our installation team to ensure projects run smoothly
* Providing outstanding customer service throughout the process
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* The ability to work as a member of a team
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Confident speaking with customers both on the phone and in person
* The ability to understand customers "needs" including why they are buying renewable technology
* Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
* Experience within the solar PV or renewable energy sector
* Knowledge of solar PV system design
* Technical sales or account management experience
* Project coordination or project management experience
* Experience using industry software like OpenSolar and CRM software such as Monday.com
