Join our dynamic security team as a Security Dog Handler, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding our premises through the effective deployment of trained security dogs. This energetic position combines physical vigilance with canine teamwork to deter theft, prevent unauthorized access, and enhance overall security operations. You will be responsible for conducting patrols, surveillance, and loss prevention activities while leveraging your expertise in dog handling to create a safer environment for staff, visitors, and assets.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility and surrounding areas using trained security dogs to detect intruders or unauthorized personnel.
- Implement surveillance strategies utilizing CCTV systems to monitor activity and identify potential security breaches.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious behavior and intervening when necessary to prevent theft or vandalism.
- Perform routine inspections of the premises, including entry points, storage areas, and high-value zones, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Respond swiftly to alarms or incidents, coordinating with emergency services when required and documenting all activities thoroughly.
- Maintain the health, training, and readiness of security dogs through regular exercises and care routines.
- Complete detailed shift reports, incident logs, and surveillance records to ensure accurate documentation of all security activities.
Qualification:
- First aid certification or the ability to provide basic emergency medical assistance when needed.
- Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail during patrols and inspection.
- Valid certification or licensing related to security or dog handling as required by local regulations.
