Location: Angel / St John Street, London
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and commercially minded Restaurant Manager to join our new modern Asian restaurant in Angel, Islington.
Our concept combines modern Asian cuisine: HK dim sum, Street food and Asian-inspired sharing dishes, creating a relaxed, vibrant and contemporary neighbourhood dining experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on manager who enjoys building a strong team, delivering excellent customer service and helping to develop a new restaurant from the beginning.
The Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, working closely with the management team, Marketing dept. and kitchen team to deliver an efficient, profitable and high-quality operation in particularly Customer services.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the daily operation of the restaurant
- Leading, training and motivating the front-of-house team
- Maintaining consistently high standards of customer service
- Ensuring food quality, presentation and service standards are maintained
- Managing restaurant opening and closing procedures
- Staff scheduling, rotas and attendance
- Focus on costs and productivity
- Monitoring food and beverage costs and minimising waste
- Managing stock, ordering and supplier relationships
- Ensuring excellent hygiene, food safety and health & safety standards
- Handling customer feedback and resolving complaints professionally
- Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Develop sales ideas and improving average customer spend
- Supporting promotions, events and local marketing activities
- Monitoring daily sales and restaurant performance
- Ensuring the restaurant is clean, welcoming and well presented
- Ensuring all company policies and licensing requirements are followed
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3+ years' experience in restaurant management or a senior supervisory role
- Strong experience in busy casual dining restaurant concepts or similar environments
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service
- Good understanding of restaurant operations and cost control
- Experience managing rotas and restaurant teams
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety
- A commercial mindset with a focus on sales and profitability
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods
- A positive, hands-on and "lead by example" management style
- Good spoken and written English
Experience with Chinese, Thai, Japanese or wider Asian cuisine would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Working Hours
This is a full-time management position and will require flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays according to the restaurant's trading requirements.
