Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning and safety of our equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Associate will be involved in routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities, supporting the overall efficiency of our operations.
Duties
- Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose faults using schematics and electrical diagrams, implementing effective repair solutions.
- Perform welding, mechanical repairs, and electrical work as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control equipment functions.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Supervise junior team members during maintenance tasks, providing guidance and leadership.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist in training new staff on maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules with production needs.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance roles within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong electrical experience, including working with PLCs and electrical schematics.
- Mechanical knowledge with skills in welding and general repair techniques.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external contractors.
- Fluency in English is essential for understanding technical documentation and communication purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems efficiently.
- Experience supervising teams or leading maintenance projects will be considered an advantage.

Pay: Up to £17.00 per hour
