At Felixstowe Hospital, we're looking for a dedicated and reliable Domestic Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues. What you’ll do:

Deliver cleaning services in line with 2025 National Cleaning Standards, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained

Follow COSHH regulations and infection prevention and control procedures, including the safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals

Comply with Health and Safety legislation, reporting incidents, accidents, hazards, and faulty equipment promptly
-
Adhere to Food Safety regulations and procedures, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety where required.

Safely undertake manual handling tasks in accordance with company policies and relevant legislation

Remove and dispose of general and clinical waste in line with approved waste management procedures and segregation requirements

Work collaboratively with ward and clinic teams, responding to requests and adapting priorities to support patient care and service delivery
What you bring:
-
Experience within a cleaning role.

Knowledge of cleaning methodologies, procedures, and best practices.

Good understanding of COSHH regulations and Health and Safety requirements.

Entry level qualification in English and Maths.
-
Effective communication skills with the ability to understand and follow instructions.
-
Strong customer service and active listening skills.
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
-
Capable of working to deadlines and managing workload effectively.
-
Reliable, punctual, and flexible in approach.
-
Friendly and professional manner with a high standard of personal hygiene.
