Production Operative with FLT – Middlesbrough
Location: Middlesbrough
Pay Rate: £12.71
Contract: Ongoing
Hours:
Based on a 2-week rotation
Week 1 - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday - 7am-7pm (days)
Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday - 7 pm -7 am (nights)
Paid breaks, averaged pay, so always receive 42 hours per week - Overtime paid after 42 hours completed
About the Role:
We are looking for Production Operatives to join our client's team at a busy plant in Middlesbrough. The company specializes in manufacturing railway sleepers from recycled plastic, contributing to sustainable rail infrastructure.
This role involves manual labour in an industrial environment, requiring physical fitness and the ability to work on your feet for long periods. Heavy lifting is a key part of the job, so candidates must be comfortable with handling materials throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting with the production and processing of recycled plastic railway sleepers• Performing manual handling and heavy lifting tasks• Operating machinery and following health & safety guidelines• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment• Adapting to shift changes if required
Requirements:
- Ability to carry out heavy lifting and 12 hours shifts
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or plant environment is beneficial
- FLT is desirable - can accept expired or in-house, however, will provide full training for the right person
