Job type: Part-time (2 days per week – Monday & Tuesday)
Salary: £31,650 – £51,048 Annually (MPS/UPS)

Advantage Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist early years provision in Poole, starting September 2026.
About the School:
This early years specialist provision supports young children with autism and a range of complex learning needs. It provides a highly structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child is supported as an individual. The focus is on developing early communication, independence, and foundational learning skills through play-based and sensory-rich experiences. Staff work closely as a team and alongside families to ensure each child receives tailored support that promotes progress, confidence, and well-being in a safe and engaging setting.
About the Role:
As a SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, individualised education to young children with a range of SEND, including autism and complex learning needs. You will plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that support early learning goals while fostering a calm, positive, and structured learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to early years pupils with SEND
- Differentiate learning activities to meet a wide range of developmental needs and abilities
- Provide individualised support to promote communication, independence, and early learning skills
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure holistic pupil development
- Implement and adapt learning activities in line with pupils’ EHCP targets
- Use a range of assessment methods to monitor progress and inform planning
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families, and professionals
- Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour, and attainment in line with setting procedures
- Contribute to a reflective and collaborative team culture
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience working with children with SEND is desirable (particularly early years), but not essential
- Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to inclusive education
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
