About the Role
We’re looking for a detail‑driven Technical Publications Engineer to create high‑quality documentation for our advanced food automation systems. Working closely with our Mechanical Design Engineers, you’ll help communicate technical information clearly to internal teams and customers globally.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain technical manuals and documentation for automated food-processing machinery.
- Create clear operating, installation, maintenance, assembly and troubleshooting instructions.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD information and machine specifications.
- Work with engineering, production and service teams to obtain and verify technical information.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, up to date and reflects design changes.
- Prepare parts lists, spare parts information, illustrations and supporting technical content.
- Incorporate appropriate safety and compliance information.
- Manage document revisions and ensure consistent document control.
- Continuously improve the quality, usability and consistency of Millitec's technical documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
· Strong interest in mechanical systems and design for manufacturing
· Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
· Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
· Ability to make and edit videos or an understanding of the principles of video editing.
Desirable Criteria
· A hands‑on, practical approach and willingness to assist in the workshop.
· Experience producing technical drawings, BOMs, or engineering documentation.
· Interest in automation, robotics, or the food manufacturing sector
· Pick up technical terminology.
· Skills in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
· This is not a remote role and you will be required to work onsite
