Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Deputy Manager for our After Schools program to lead and inspire young learners in a vibrant educational environment. Responsibilities
- Assist the Program Manager in overseeing daily operations of the after-school program, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of activities.
- Lead engaging educational and recreational activities that cater to diverse age groups and interests.
- Supervise staff members, including teachers, nannies, and childcare assistants, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of care.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed rigorously, including child supervision, emergency procedures, and health guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and program updates.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements for children, including driving responsibilities when necessary, ensuring punctuality and safety.
- Support the recruitment, training, and development of staff members to foster a motivated team environment.
- Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incidents, and child development milestones.
- Promote a positive environment that encourages learning through play while adhering to educational standards in both English and French where applicable.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in roles such as teaching, nannying, or childcare is essential.
- Prior experience in managing or supervising staff within an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a valuable asset for bilingual programs.
- Valid driving license with clean driving record to facilitate transportation duties when required.
- Knowledge of child development principles and safety regulations relevant to after-school environments.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
