Job Description - Electrical Engineer - Generators / Power
Woodlands Power is a well-established company and have been offering 24/7 International Rental, Sales & Service of Electrical Generators and associated Power Systems since 1950. We are looking to employ an Electrical Engineer or Electrician based in our Evesham Depot, to support works across the UK, be it with our own rental fleet of equipment or the maintenance & installation of customers own power systems.
Key Tasks & Duties
- Installation of electrical power systems
- Power system service, repair, fault finding & commissioning
- In depth site & electrical surveys
- Attending to breakdowns, fault finding & servicing visits of generating sets & other power systems
- Will be required to travel frequently, and may be required to stay ‘away from home’ on occasions with work based around the UK, and Europe if required
- Training & development towards mechanical elements of the role, to in time provide all round generator set skills
Skills & Experience
- Previous proven experience of working on industrial power systems in a field & critical industrial environment is essential (in depth electrical knowledge is essential)
- Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering (or similar), to a recognised standard such as BTEC or C&G would be advantageous
- In depth knowledge & experience of electrical control systems would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided
- C&G 2395 / 2396 or 2392 / 2391 - Inspect & Test would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided
- C&G 2832 - 18th Edition IEE Regulations Qualification would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided
- Candidates must acknowledge the companies 24/7 operation & service and participate in call outs & call out rota, as required
- Must possess good fault finding abilities and have the ability to work using own initiative or as part of a team
- Holder of current CSCS/ECS card would be advantageous, but not essential
- Full driving licence required
- DBS check would be advantageous (or will be carried in due course)
Remuneration will be discussed & is dependent upon the level of ability, qualifications held & prior experience that Woodlands believe the candidate will bring to the company, along with overtime rates available as & when required.
