Job Title: Planner / Scheduler
Location: Glasgow
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 per annum
About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Planner to join our growing electrical business in Glasgow. This is a key role responsible for coordinating engineers' schedules, managing customer appointments, and ensuring jobs are delivered efficiently and on time.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a construction, electrical, facilities management, or service delivery environment and will be confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced office.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule engineers' daily and weekly workloads.
- Coordinate service, maintenance and installation appointments.
- Liaise with customers, engineers and suppliers to ensure smooth job delivery.
- Monitor job progress and respond to changes or emergencies.
- Update and maintain job management systems with accurate information.
- Allocate resources efficiently to maximise productivity.
- Ensure all relevant job documentation is completed and up to date.
- Work closely with the operations team to support service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Produce reports and assist with administrative tasks where required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within a construction, electrical, facilities management, or service delivery business is essential.
- Experience using job management software is essential.
- Experience with Simpro is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable Skills
- Experience scheduling field-based engineers.
- Knowledge of the electrical or building services industry.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
Pay: £25,420.00-£39,790.61 per year
