This is a 3-month contract position with a local authority, aimed at providing immediate senior leadership and strategic oversight of the Council’s all-age commissioning function during a transitional period. The role is crucial for ensuring continuity of service delivery, stabilising team performance, and driving key commissioning programs while supporting a developing service following restructuring.

Provide leadership and direction across all-age commissioning services.

Ensure continuity of delivery and maintain performance standards during the interim period.

Set clear priorities and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Provide assurance to senior leadership on service performance and risks.

Lead key commissioning programs, including supported living and commissioning frameworks.

Oversee the development and delivery of commissioning strategies across adult and all-age services.

Ensure effective commissioning practices that deliver value for money and positive outcomes for residents.

Extensive senior leadership experience in adult social care commissioning.

Strong background in all-age commissioning models, frameworks, and delivery.

Proven experience of leading teams through organizational change or restructure.

Demonstrable experience in program delivery, particularly within supported living or similar service areas.

Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Social Care, Public Administration, or related discipline).

Evidence of continued professional development.

Relevant leadership or management qualification (desirable).

Working hours: 37 hours per week.

Duration: 3–4 months (initial).

1-2 days on site.
