Poundfield Precast Ltd is a reputable organisation within the construction industry, committed to delivering exceptional products and service to its clients. We are currently seeking a Transport Business Administrator to join our Transport Department, providing vital support to ensure the efficient planning, coordination, and delivery of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Support the Transport Manager with delivery planning, route optimisation, and cost control.
- Assist in monitoring Working Time Directive compliance and driver infringements.
- Assist in coordinating vehicle servicing, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
- Record and report damaged or returned loads.
- Help maximise lorry utilisation through effective load planning.
- Record and report additional transport costs, including waiting times, delays, and haulier issues.
- Assist with raising purchase orders and receipting when required.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Keep customers and the sales team informed of delivery updates and changes.
- Maintain accurate transport administration records, including holidays, sickness, and unauthorised absences.
- Build effective working relationships across departments and handle information professionally and confidentially.
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 16:00.

Experience:
- Experience working in a transport, warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not necessary as training will be provided.
- Familiarity with route planning, scheduling, or coordinating deliveries/collections
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Customer experience desirable.
