Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our establishment, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities according to established standards
- Change bed linens, towels, and replenish amenities as needed
- Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness
- Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly to management
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly after use
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or hazards
- Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and materials
- Assist with laundry duties when required
- Uphold confidentiality regarding guest information and property
- Dispose of waste responsibly in accordance to hotel recycling policies
- Work independently or within a small team to achieve time standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail with organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning duties efficiently throughout shifts
- Reliable with a positive attitude towards guest service standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends if necessary
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations is advantageous
