Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and dedicated individual to join our team at Little Berries Café, a brand-new play café designed for young children and their families.
In this role, you will be primarily based in the children’s play area, helping to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment. You will interact with children, support play sessions and activities, assist with birthday parties, and ensure the play space is clean, safe, and well-organised at all times.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere
- Keep the café, seating areas, and play spaces clean, tidy, and organised
- Assist families within the play area
- Design and implement play and craft ideas into the area daily
- To ensure parties are planned for and implement ideas to create engaging opportunities
- Handle cash and card payments responsibly
- Respond to customer queries and ensure a positive experience for all guests
- Work closely with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- To help the assistant, cooks and front of house staff during busy periods.
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety regulations at all times
Skills & Experience
- Experience working with children or in an early years setting is highly desirable
- Qualification within Early Years.
- A friendly, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Confidence in engaging and interacting with young children
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Awareness of health and safety in a children’s environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to get involved
