Due to continued increase in workload, the company is looking to recruit a Contracts Engineer who will report directly to the Contracts Supervisor. The role is varied and will involve working closely with multiple departments to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the required standard.
Our aim at T Allen Engineering Services Ltd is to provide a ‘Right First Time’ lifting solution that is safe, compliant and cost-effective for our customers. The main duties and responsibilities of the role are detailed below;
- Receiving customer’s lifting equipment requests for both ‘supply only’ and ‘installation’ projects from a varied customer base via telephone and email
- Responding to customer requests for quotations in a timely and efficient manner
- Preparing quotations for customers in accordance with the current procedures and price lists
- Liaising with the Design Engineer to produce GA drawings and 3D models of ‘standard’ and ‘bespoke’ lifting solutions which can be sent to the client for approval prior to manufacture
- Liaising with the Fabrication Supervisor to agree and meet lead times based on the customer’s requirements
- Sourcing materials and goods from reputable suppliers at competitive prices in order to fulfil customer requests
- Liaising with the Planning Manager to organise and schedule the daily work of the Site Engineers
- Ensuring the Site Engineers have the necessary information, equipment and 3rd party assistance to complete their site works
- Liaising with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure all orders are dispatched in accordance with agreed lead times
- Upon completion of site works, ensure all relevant documentation or progress reports are completed and forwarded to the customer
- Maintain your level of knowledge and skills by completing appropriate training as required by the company
- You will also be required to adhere to the companies Health and Safety policy and quality management system
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Management Team

Desirable;
- Previous knowledge and experience within the lifting equipment industry
- Previous experience of a similar role i.e. Project Engineer/Project Manager
- Understanding of the LOLER and PUWER regulations
- LEEA experience/qualifications
