The School of Management is seeking to appoint a Divisional Coordinator on an open-ended contract.
The School of Management is one of the UK’s leading Business Schools, located in an impressive new building with state-of-the art resources near the city of Bath. Our extensive offerings encompass undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes, alongside tailored executive education options for both individuals and organisations. With a dedicated team of over 180 teaching and research professionals, complemented by a support staff of around 100 managerial and administrative experts (referred to as Professional Services), we cultivate a vibrant working environment.
The academic wing of the School of Management is split into four Divisions. In each, academic leadership comes from a Head of Division and Subject Group Leads with the Academic Services Managers and two Divisional Coordinators providing Professional Services Support.
Working as part of the wider Dean’s Office, this is an exciting opportunity to learn about and contribute to the strategic aims of the School as part of the Academic Support team.
On a day-to-day basis you will provide administrative support for designated areas of work and activities within two academic divisions in SoM. This will involve dealing with a wide range of matters, sometimes of a confidential nature and includes interaction with high profile internal colleagues and external visitors to the Division and School. You must be able to prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines on your own initiative, and to learn new systems and procedures rapidly.
This is a busy and varied role which requires you to have excellent people, communication and organisational skills.
We work together as a team to achieve overall results and you will need to be a good team player.
This role is an excellent fit for those looking to start a career in higher education administration, recent graduates, or anyone seeking a fulfilling position in a vibrant office environment.
We offer hybrid working where you will be expected to be on campus for at least 60% of your time.
For an informal discussion, please contact Kate Matthews or Rachael McHugh, Academic Services Managers on [email protected] or Vaggelis Giannikas, Head of Division on Vaggelis Giannikas [email protected]
