Little Explorers Eastry are a looking for an experienced and qualified nursery practitioner to join our dedicated team working as a Baby Room Leader. The nursery is operational Monday – Friday all year round. We aim to provide a safe and stimulating environment whilst maintaining the children’s learning and development using our curriculum by planning and observing the children every day.
The nursery is owned by two teachers and managed by a highly skilled and experienced full time manager. Our staff team are a hard working and dedicated group of excellent practitioners. Key Responsibilities:
Leading staff in the baby room, working with children from 3 months up to 2 years.
Ensuring that the curriculum is implemented, through imaginative, creative and child-led initiatives.
Taking on the role of key person for your designated children.
Working in partnership with parents by providing effective feedback on their child’s learning and holding one to one meetings.
Supporting your colleagues and contributing positively to the culture and reputation of the nursery.
Leading team meetings and positively leading a small team
Adhering to Nursery policies and procedures which includes the Safeguarding and Health and Safety of all children.
Requirements:
Experience in the role of leading staff
MUST hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
At least one year experience working in a nursery including experience of working with babies.
Experience in tracking children's progress and development
Experience working with In the Moment Planning would be preferable not not essential
Excellent knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework
An understanding of safeguarding procedures
A passion for working with children under 5 years old

Pay is from £14 per hour depending on experience.
