Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. This vital role involves creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for children while managing a team of childcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience working with children, and a passion for early childhood education. As Nursery Manager, you will be the driving force behind delivering high-quality care and fostering positive relationships with children, families, and staff alike.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the nursery team to ensure excellent childcare standards are maintained at all times
- Develop and implement engaging educational activities that support early childhood development
- Oversee daily nursery operations, including admissions, scheduling, and compliance with safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates on children’s progress and address any concerns
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety policies
- Manage staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives
- Ensure all activities align with local childcare regulations and early childhood education best practices
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of childcare professionals
- Extensive experience working directly with children in a childcare or preschool environment
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood development principles
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively liaise with staff and families
- Childcare qualifications or certifications relevant to nursery management preferred
- Valid driving license is advantageous for transportation duties or off-site visits
