Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Multi Drop Driver to join our team in Bude. The ideal candidate will own a 3.5-tonne van and possess excellent driving skills, with experience in delivery and commercial driving. This role involves delivering goods efficiently in the Bude location, with no returns to depot that day - you will collect from Redruth at 10am daily. Route starts at £220 minum for the day, with drop rate that can easily exceed £300 per day.
You will ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining safety standards. The position offers an engaging environment for individuals who enjoy driving and organising deliveries within a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate your own 3.5-tonne van and relevent insurances to complete multiple daily deliveries across designated routes in Bude and surrounding areas
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly for transit
- Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during routes
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of each drop
- Conduct routine vehicle checks to ensure the van is in good working condition and report any maintenance concerns promptly
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during all driving activities
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience, ideally within a commercial or logistics environment
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, handling packages of varying sizes and weights
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with customers and team members
- Familiarity with route planning tools or GPS systems is preferred
