About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Norwich manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role that is essential to keeping our production equipment and facilities operating safely and efficiently, helping us maintain the high standards our customers expect.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide both electrical and mechanical maintenance support across the production facility.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise production downtime.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond promptly to equipment breakdowns.
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of new machinery and equipment.
- Carry out routine maintenance on glass barrows, slot carts, and other production equipment.
- Complete general site maintenance, including building repairs, plumbing, and other maintenance tasks as required.
- Undertake machine servicing tasks such as cleaning filters, replacing saw blades, and carrying out routine inspections.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment remains reliable and downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Collaborate with and support the wider maintenance team.
- Assist the fabrication department when required.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota, including occasional evenings and weekends, once fully trained and experienced.
About You
You will be a proactive problem solver with strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment.
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar manufacturing maintenance role.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including participation in the on-call rota.
Desirable
- Previous experience within the glass, glazing, or window manufacturing industry.
- Experience of maintaining automated manufacturing equipment.
