Job Title: Transport & Logistics Coordinator
Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager
Working Hours: 7am - 4pm (Monday - Thursday) 7am - 3pm (Friday)
About the Role
We're looking for an organised and proactive Transport & Logistics Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring deliveries are made safely, efficiently and on time while working closely with transport providers, suppliers and internal teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with logistics or transport planning experience who enjoys solving problems, building strong relationships and driving continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
- Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
- Work closely with transport providers and carriers to secure cost-effective, reliable services.
- Monitor shipments, resolve delivery issues and provide regular progress updates.
- Coordinate the storage and distribution of goods alongside warehouse operations.
- Ensure all transport documentation is accurate and compliant with UK and international regulations.
- Prepare customs and shipping documentation where required.
- Act as the key point of contact for logistics enquiries from suppliers, carriers and internal teams.
- Analyse logistics performance, identifying opportunities to improve service levels and reduce costs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across transport and logistics operations.
- Provide holiday and absence cover for the Subcontractor Manager when required.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in transport, logistics or supply chain coordination.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good knowledge of transport documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and logistics or ERP systems.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
