Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Tradesman/woman to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills across various trades, including fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and masonry. Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and install structural components using hand tools, power tools,bricklaying and specialised equipment
- Perform carpentry and joinery tasks to construct or repair frameworks, fixtures, and fittings
- Carry out roofing repairs or installations with attention to safety and quality standards
- Execute plumbing tasks including pipe fitting, leak repairs, and fixture installations
- Conduct masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete pouring as required
- Assist with electrical installations or repairs in accordance with safety regulations and standards
- Use construction painting techniques to prepare surfaces for finishing or maintenance purposes
- Handle heavy lifting safely during material transport or installation processes
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
- Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures on-site
Qualifications
- Proven experience in one or more trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, roofing or bricklaying
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment relevant to construction trades
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good physical fitness with the ability to work in various weather conditions
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are desirable but not essential; practical experience is highly valued
