Interventions Mentor
Hours: 35.5 hours per week, term time plus 10 days
Starting salary: £24,747.90 - £30,000.67 (actual starting salary) – Dependant on relevant experience

In our academies we teach and support learners from Key Stages 1 – 5 who have been excluded from school or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to the lives of complex and challenging learners.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intervention Mentor to join our team.
This role is based across multiple sites in West Yorkshire, with regular travel between sites (Huddersfield, Bradford and Wakefield). A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
Pivot Academy Kirklees provides educational and therapeutic support for learners who have complex sensory, communication and executive function challenges who may be supported by an EHCP. The Pivot Outreach Programme (POP) aims to re-engage learners with social, emotional and mental health needs who may have been out of education for some time. We also have a specialist primary provision, designed to support young learners with special educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health, communication and complex needs. Our Pivot 6 provision offers specialist support for KS3 & 4 learners who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school.
What you will do:
· Plan, deliver and review high-quality one-to-one and small group intervention programmes for learners with complex SEMH needs.
· Track progress, maintain detailed records and contribute to regular review meetings, ensuring clear next steps for each learner.
· Build strong, positive relationships with learners, families and professionals, acting as a consistent and supportive role model.
· Support learners’ emotional regulation and wellbeing, including responding to dysregulation in a safe and appropriate way.
· Champion key intervention approaches and contribute to a supportive, inclusive environment that promotes academic and personal progress.
We are looking for a compassionate, resilient and proactive individual with experience working with learners with SEMH needs. You will be confident delivering targeted interventions, highly organised and able to monitor and communicate progress effectively. You will bring creativity, adaptability and a commitment to inclusive education, alongside a genuine passion for helping learners overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.
