Multi-Trade Operative / Garage Door Assistant
Location: Staffordshire
Hours: 40–50 hours per week (depending on workload and business requirements)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We have been established for over 40 years , Due to continued growth in our companies, STS Garage Doors Ltd is looking for a trustworthy, reliable, and motivated individual to join our team in a varied and hands-on role. No two days are the same, and the successful candidate will be involved in garage door installations, property maintenance, and general business operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Measuring for garage doors.
- Servicing and maintenance of garage doors.
- Assisting with the installation of garage doors.
- Providing cover and additional support during staff annual leave and busy periods.
- General maintenance across multiple properties.
- Grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, and weed control.
- Factory and yard tidying and organisation.
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Property strip-outs and clearance work.
- Meeting tenants and assisting with property inspections.
- Carrying out property maintenance and improvement works.
- Keeping company vehicles clean, presentable, and maintained.
- Assisting with general day-to-day business operations as required.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be trustworthy and reliable.
- Be motivated and willing to learn.
- Be respectful and professional when dealing with customers, tenants, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Have a strong work ethic and take pride in their work.
- Be practical and hands-on.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Be flexible and willing to undertake a variety of tasks.
Experience within property maintenance, construction, landscaping, garage doors, or a similar trade would be beneficial but is not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
